Obituary of Minnie Alvarez

Our Mother, went to meet our maker on December 18, 2021 at.5:15 pm. Our mother Minnie Alvarez was born in Marble Falls to her parents Fred Alba and his wife Carman Alba. She had a sister who is deceased Rosemary Avila and her brother Leno Alba. She married Luis R. Alvarez on January 1, 1958 in Austin, Texas.  She has three sons Fred Alvarez and wife Bobbie B. Scumaci, Dakota Alvarez and Louis Alvarez. Grand Children; Tim Alvarez, Ashley Alvarez, Trisha Scrumaci and Marissa Scumaci. The great grandchildren are Isaac Sartino, Josiah Hernandez, Jovani Hernandez, Matthew Herandez, Jose Augilar Jr, Jacob Augilar, Adrianna Perez, Jordan Flores, Annallyah Flores.

Our mother was a hard-working lady, she worked at the Piccadilly as a bus Girl, Commodore Perry as elevator Girl, the Johnson trading Post as a wait person, and Maudie family style meal, and at Rosie’s Tamales house making Tamales.  She also worked at Dripping springs school until she retired.  Our Mother enjoyed feeding her cows, taking care of her grand baby and cooking for everyone. She loved her family being together.

The Visitation will be held from 5:00p.m. - 9:00p.m. with the Rosary starting at 7:00p.m. at Austin Peel and Son Funeral Home located at 607 East Anderson Ln. Austin,TX 78752. The Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00a.m at St. Martin's Catholic Church located at 230 Post Oak Dr, Dripping Springs, TX 78620. Interment will follow at Phillip's Cemetery.
