Dear Alvarez Family, We are deeply saddened for the loss of Minnie. She was near and dear to my Grandparents Severo and Virginia Malone Villareal. Minnie and her husband Luis would frequently visit my Grandparents in Houston, Texas in the 1980's and 90's. I remember when my Grandmother would announce "ya vienen los primos en camino de Austin." There was sure to be a get together with lots of food when they arrived. My grandmother Virginia is 97 years old now, she's healthy and has good memory of the past. She describes her cousin Minnie as a sweet beautiful lady. Minnie would call my Grandmother almost every day to say hi and check up on her up until very recent. It was heartwarming to hear them laugh and talk over the phone. Although circumstances didn't allow us to travel to Austin to pay our respects in person, we will be there in spirit. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Alvarez Family during this difficult time. Sincerely, Cousin Virginia Villareal and Family
