Obituary of Travis Dalton McCarty
Blessed is the man who endures trial, for when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life which God has promised to those who love him.

Our beloved Travis Dalton McCarty, age 90, passed away on Wednesday, June 30, 2021.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Floyd McCarty and Rubene Stephenson.
Travis was born in Tennyson, Texas. He grew up farming and ranching in the Brookshire, Tennyson area. He met Clara Patterson married and had 3 children. Soon he left to serve in the Korean war as a mechanic. After the war he returned home and back to farming. In 1965 Travis received his certificate of Ordination to be a Deacon in the First Baptist Church of Ackerly, Texas. Travis was later a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Austin, TX. He worked in the oil industry in west Texas for some time then moved his family to the Austin area. He worked for NPC builders and later went to work for LCRA. Travis retired from LCRA, then went on to start a janitorial and building maintenance service company. In 1990 he retired from his business passing it on to his daughter.
Travis was strong in faith and taught that to all his children and family. He loved dancing and meeting new people. But most of all Travis was the greatest storyteller ever; he could tell you stories of the old days and you would swear you had been there.
He had a great passion for his children and family. Travis McCarty; a Cowboy, a Christian, and a father.
He is survived by his brothers Leon & Corine McCarty of Tennyson, TX, Neely McCarty of St Angelo, TX, Leonard & Mary Ann McCarty of Dallas TX
Children; Dalton Travis McCarty & his wife Sissy of Vicksburg, MS, Paula Ann McCarty of Austin, Tx, Randall Lee McCarty & fiancé Julie von Merz of Rowena, TX
Grandchildren; Clay Norris, Josh Norris, Jessica Norris, Brandy Poe of MS, Kristen McCarty Wilson of Ky, Tara McCarty of NM, Alexa Alvarez, Christina Alvarez, Danelle Alvarez of Round Rock, TX, Garrett McCarty and Gage McCarty of San Angelo, TX.
Great-grandchildren, Clayton Norris, Meri Kathryn Norris, Morgan Poe, Isabella Norris, Callie Parker of MS, RJ Dobert, Madison Wilson, Lily Wilson, Clara Wilson of KY, Sarah Adams, Katie Moreno, Zoe Moreno of NM, Ava Ruiz, Dominic Alvarez, Carter De La Rosa of Round Rock, TX.
Reverend George Patterson will officiate the services.
