There are no words to describe how much Efrain meant to me. I worked at Highland Lanes for 5 1/2 years and got to know him in that time. He called me his adopted daughter and I cared deeply for him. I loved watching how much he cared for others, his teammates, the staff of Highland, his family, and especially his wife. He was an amazing craftsman who loved to make things with his hands. I am so lucky to have a couple pieces he made for myself and my kids here in my home. He loved me and my children as if we were family to him and he was and always will be family to us in our hearts. I was so heartbroken to hear of his passing and wanted to send out my deepest condolences to his family. Rest well sweet Efrain, free of pain, back in the arms of your wife again. I love you.

Today at Highland Lanes I was saddened to hear about your father passing away. I had bowled with your father in several senior leagues at Highland. About 1 year ago your father and I teamed up together to bowl in the Tuesday Lunch Time Bowling League. Since your father's last name was Cruz and mine was McCormick we named our team McCruz. Bowling with your father was the best, the very best. Your father had made me several bowling trophies, but the most favorite was the last one he made me. It included a lamp and an plug in outlet in addition to a beautiful bowling trophy. I will cherish this for ever. The last time I saw your father was at Highland on a Monday in November and he was there observing his 10am Monday morning leagu3e bowl. He was in a chair and there was someone else there with him, I guess a caregiver. I talked to your father for about 15 minutes and he told me he can no longer walk. I am a very compassionate person which I don't really show very much, but before I left I told your Father I Loved Him. I am so happy that I did, because your father is a very very good man who meant a lot to me. My heart goes out to your family and I want you to know I will never forget Efrain, NEVER!

We didn’t know we were making so many beautiful memories and moments, we just knew we were having fun. Tio aka (Gran Puba) loved by all the had the pleasure and honor of meeting and knowing him, (sweet, gentle, caring and loving) to all his family and friends. You will be missed terribly. I have comfort in knowing you’re in heaven with all our other angels and we will all link again when God calls us to Heaven, until then I carry you in my heart forever and always. With love and affection RIP my amazing Tio ❤️

I will always remember Efrain for his kind smile, warm hugs, and wise bowling tips. Although he has gone home to be with God his legacy of love, kindness, and laughter lives on through his great family with whom I share my deepest sympathy.
