Obituary of Juan Jose Sanchez

Our beloved Juan Jose Sanchez was called home, on Thursday. June 15, 2023.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, of over 40 beautiful years, Guadalupe C. Sanchez; parents, Juan Jose Sanchez, and Leonor Ortiz; sons, Jesus Godinez Jr. and Michael Godinez; and brother, Efrain Ben Sanchez.

Juan is survived by his daughter, Ophelia Godinez, and Ezekiel Godinez and his wife Audrey Godinez; siblings, Gabriel Sanchez, Emily Calvo, Rosemary Montes, Alfredo Sanchez, Domitila Gonzalez and Ricardo Sanchez and his wife Barbara; 12 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren; as well as numerous loving family and friends.

Serving as pallbearers; Christopher Costilla, Jesus Godinez Jr, Daniel Romero Jr., Joshua Garcia, Miguel Reyes Jr. and Jake Robert Godinez.

Honorary pallbearers include; Albert Garcia III, Christopher Angel Costilla, Joe Edward Garcia, Juan Andres Garcia, Brandon Juan Arzola, Brayden Michael Arzola, Vincent Reyes Jr., Crystian Camacho, Jesus Godinez III, and Christian Cash Costilla.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at Austin Peel and Son Funeral Home, 607 E. Anderson Ln., Austin, Texas, 78752; Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 30, 2023, at St. Julia Catholic Church, 3010 Lyons Rd, Austin, TX 78702, with interment following at Assumption Cemetery.
