I'm sorry this is late getting to you. I just found out and realized it was him when I ran across the obituary. I wanted to tell you how sorry I am for your loss. While it may seem strange to be contacting you, Richard was my 1st boyfriend when we lived in Beaumont, Texas and attended Forest Park High School. We dated for 2 years until I moved to Austin. He had moved to Austin before me. We ran into each other at a state building I worked at where he was doing maintenance. I've thought of him and wondered how his life turned out. I'm glad he married and had children.

Q: What will you never forget about Richard?
A: I will never forget his kindness. I will never forget him always taking time out of his day to bring gifts and gifts of love on the holidays. He truly loved all of us.
