Obituary of Ernesto Pena Jr.

With great sadness and broken hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved, Ernest Pena Jr.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories: his loving wife of 45 years Yvonne, his son Jared and fiancée Hannah, brother Edward, sisters Yolanda Hayes, Vanessa Chapa, and many awesome nieces and nephews whom he loved playing board games with and discussing investments.

We will have a Memorial service later in Corpus Christi where we will lay to rest our already Angel “Jackie Eve” beside her daddy Ernest in the family plot.

During Ernest time on earth, he lived a busy but rich life.

He enjoyed working as a News Reporter / Weatherman for 8 years.

His years at a law firm as a Paralegal / Audio Video Specialist, producing legal documentaries.

Ernest loved opening businesses. You may even go as far as to say it was his hobby, from Video monitoring services to Real Estate Companies and retail businesses. These opportunities gave Ernest & Yvonne the time and flexibility to participate in all of Jared & Jackie’s extra-curricular activities.

In 2014 Ernest and Yvonne packed their bags and moved to Austin, Texas to be close to their kiddos to enjoy the music sounds of Jared and to be with their Princess Jackie.

While in Austin Ernest was called to the Funeral Planning and Counseling Industry, where he helped people tackle some of the most difficult decisions of their lives.

No doubt in our minds he loved his family unconditionally. You will be forever in our hearts, our hero & mentor. Give Jackie lots of hugs & kisses.
