Obituary of Pedro Coronel Sr.

Our beloved Pedro Coronel Sr. was called home on the 12 of July, 2022.

He is awaited in heaven by his parents Felipe Navejar Coronel and Julia Zapata Coronel; siblings, Amador Coronel and his wife Edelina Coronel, Felipe Coronel Jr., Maria del Carmen Rivera and her husband Rodolfo Rivera, and Jose Luis Coronel; brother-in law, Manuel Garcia and David Cox.

Pedro’s memory will be carried on by his loving wife, of 45 beautiful years, Delma Coronel; children, Rudy Guajardo and his wife Belinda Guajardo, Maricella Coronel-Gil and her husband Joseph Gil, Linda Lu Alaniz and her husband Johnny Alaniz, and Pedro Coronel Jr. and his wife Erika Gil; 16 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; siblings, Urbana Garcia, Jose Oscar Coronel and his wife Veronica (Betty) Coronel, Diana Solis and her husband Valdo Solis; Julia Yolanda Clay and her husband Edward Clay; sister- in law Guadalupe Coronel  as well as many other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be Monday, July 25, 2022 from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. The Rosary will begin at 7:00 P.M. at Austin Peel and Son Funeral Home. 607 E. Anderson Ln. Austin, Texas, 78752. Mass of Catholic Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. at Saint Louis King of France Catholic Church, 7601 Burnet Rd, Austin, TX 78757, on Tuesday, July 26, 2022.

Due to the Coronavirus/COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

We politely request the continued use of face coverings in an effort to

help protect our community.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services.
