Obituary of Jesus Martinez

Please share a memory of Jesus to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Jesus Martinez (65) passed away peacefully on the 28 of June, 2022, with his wife and children by his side. His soul will continue living on through his adoring family and friends.

Jesus Martinez was born on January 2, 1957, in Mexico, to Pedro Martinez (87) and Rufina Arroyo Martinez (84). Jesus was married in 1975, to Juana Jaimes, and they started a beautiful family together. Jesus was full of laughter, hard-working, and kind to all who knew him.

Jesus was a loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather. He was not only a strong man but the glue that held our family together. Our dad was hard working and never gave up on anything, he always pushed himself to strive for better, and taught us how to be tough and independent!

It all started upon returning home from a normal day at work, when our dad explained his neck has been bitten buy a spider. After this our father constantly complained about his mysterious neck pain. We went everywhere we could, doctor’s appointments, hospitals, etc., to find out what was going on with our dad. After going on what seemed like and endless chase for answers, our father was finally diagnosed with stage four throat and lung cancer.

It came as a shock to our family, but dad remained positive and kept on pushing forward. He stayed happy and optimistic. He told little jokes as we went to his Dr. visits and chemo therapy appointments. Unfortunately he had to immediately stop working.  This really depressed him because of the simple fact that our daddy worked every single day of his life. Our father never stopped providing for his family and helping others. Daddy was the nicest person, with the kindest heart. Sadly, as time went on our dad’s health started to get worse. We began noticing the little things that were not normal, but though everything he kept his humor. He always kept a smile on our faces and could make day with a joke. Our daddy was so tired of fighting, and unfortunately it was at that point that he lost his battle with cancer. We know that he’s in a better place, and no longer suffering. We love you and miss you so much dad
