Obituary of Donald Alford Calvin

Our beloved Donald Alford Calvin, 90, was called home, on Tuesday, June 21, 2022.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, of 57 beautiful years, Pearl “Deana” Calvin; parents, Virgil Alford Calvin, and Emma Joy Peterson Calvin; brother, Ronald “Ronnie” Calvin.

Donald is survived  by his children, Chris Calvin and Mary Graham, and Candy Quinney and her husband Fred Quinney; grandchildren, Erin Calvin, Christopher Joel Calvin and his wife Nicole Wong, Shanell Deats and her husband Anthony Deats, Andrea Curtis and her husband Joshua Curtis, and Shawn Quinney; grandchildren, Lilliana Deats, Zoe Deats, Rylee Deats, Emily Deats, Constance Curtis, and Hannah Curtis; brother, Timothy Calvin; sister-in-law, Joan Calvin; nephews, Clark Calvin and Peanut Calvin; as well as numerous loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. a prayer service beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at Austin Peel and Son Funeral Home, 607 E. Anderson Ln., Austin, Texas, 78752; with interment following at Cook Walden Memorial Hill Cemetery.

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask

and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services.

during this very difficult time.
