Obituary of Mario Mondragon Jr.

Our beloved Mario Mondragon Jr., was called home, on Tuesday, April 26, 2022.

He has been met in heaven by his wife Marissa Rodriquez and grandparents; Alejandro Mendez, Rufina Jaimes DeMondragon and Cornelio Mondragon.

Mario is survived by his parents, Mario Mondragon Sr. and Maria De Jesus Mondragon; children, Leyah Marie Mondragon and McKenzie Noelle Mondragon; sister, Edith Mondragon; brother-in-law Miguel Angel Vilchis nieces and nephews,; grandmother Benigna Mendez as well as many other loving cousins, aunts, uncles, family members and friends. 

Mario was a family oriented person, he loved his mother, father, sister, wife and daughters very much. On his spare time he enjoyed working on his computers always giving himself a challenge.  As a child he enjoyed watching soccer with his father on Sunday’s afternoon, and he also enjoyed having family dinners at the big cherry wood table. Mario became a father who adored his girls with all of his heart, he loved riding scooters with them and taking them trick or treating. Mario was a man of morals and values, his faith was real important to him and his priority was always his family. 

Visitation will be Friday, May 6, 2022 at 3:00pm lasting until the next morning at 230 Mondragon Ln. Kyle, TX 78640. Mass of Catholic Burial will be held at 12:00 p.m. at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, 2208 E 2nd St, Austin, TX 78702, on Saturday, May 7, 2022. Interment will follow at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery.  The reception (repast) will be held immediately following the interment at The Church Highland Park.

Nuestro querido Mario Mondragon Jr., fue llamado a la gloria, el martes 26 de abril de 2022.

Ha sido recibido en la gloria por su esposa Marissa Rodriguez y sus abuelos; Alejandro Méndez, Rufina Jaimes De Mondragón y Cornelio Mondragón.

A Mario le sobreviven sus padres, Mario Mondragon Sr. y Maria De Jesus Mendez; hijas, Leyah Marie Mondragon y McKenzie Noelle Mondragon; hermana, Edith Mondragón; cuñado Miguel Angel Vilchis, abuela Benigna Méndez,  sobrinas y sobrinos,  así como muchos otros primos, tías, tíos, familiares y amigos..

Mario era una persona muy pegada a su familia.  El amaba a su madre, padre, hermana, esposa y hijas más que nada. En su tiempo libre a el Le gustaba darse un reto trabajando en sus computadores. En su niñez los domingos por la tarde a el le encantaba ver el fútbol con su padre y comer entre familia en la mesa roja grande. Mario fue padre y el amaba muchísimo a sus hijas, se divertía subirse en patineta con sus hijas y llevarlas trick or treating. Mario era una persona de morales y valores y su Fe era muy grande. Su prioridad siempre era su familia. 

El velorio será el viernes 6 de Mayo a las 3:00pm ubicado 230 Mondragon Ln. Kyle, TX 78640. Misa católica las 12:00 p. m. en la iglesia  Cristo Rey, 2208 E 2nd St, Austin, TX 78702, el sábado 7 de mayo de 2022. El entierro seguirá en el cementerio Austin Memorial Park. La recepción (comida) se llevará a cabo inmediatamente después del entierro en The Church Highland Park (5206 Balcones Dr, Austin, TX 78731).
