Obituary of Alma Lorraine Nobles
Alma Lorraine Washington-Nobles
The world has lost a true matriarch. A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and loving friend.
Alma Lorraine Washington-Nobles 81, was born to the late, Willie and Estella Washington in McGregor Tx, on December 3, 1940. She was the seventh of fourteen siblings.
Alma grew up in McGregor and attended public schools there. She accepted Christ as her savior at an early age, and remained a true believer for the remainder of her life. Shortly after graduation from high school, she relocated to Austin, Texas where she made her home.
Alma was employed in the food service industry for a period of time, then she secured employment in mental health service, and child care before settling on a career in home health where she was successful in following her passion for caring for the elderly.
Alma wore an infectious smile with so much love behind it. She was known for her welcoming, gentle spirit and will be remembered for her care and compassion for family and friends. Her ability to remember birthdays and her untiring effort to see that everybody that she knew received a gift at Christmas was remarkable.
Alma was preceded in death by her daughter Wanda and her son Raymond, her parents, five brothers; Curtis, Willie, Weldon, Harold and Kenneth; and five sisters; Martha, Genetta, Doris, Loretta and Joanie.
She leaves to cherish her memory her son Anton Mackey (Tiffany), 3 Sisters, Gloria Cabiness, Lola Kennedy (Stephen), Lila Mathews-Treese: 4 In-Laws, Betty Washington, Harry Ellison, Beverly Washington, Mary Sims: Grandchildren, Valencia Lee, Tashonya Crenshaw (Shannon), Tiffany Clemons, Robert Clemons, Micherlyn Wallace (Darrick), Shoneice Yett, Ashenn Mackey, Ziyah Mackey, Bryeson Landers and a 14 great-grandchildren, 7 great great-grandchildren, her eternal Soulmate Macks, and numerous cousins, collateral relatives, and friends.
