Obituary of Ramon Aleman
Ramon Alonzo Aleman, 91, of Austin passed away January 16, 2022. He was born on November 26, 1930 in Lytton Springs, Texas to Eulogia Alonzo Aleman and Fermin Aleman, Sr.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great and great great grandfather who will be forever missed. He was a member of the Carpenters Union. He was a retired carpenter with the Austin Independent School District. He was a hard worker, good provider and had an old school attitude. He was an avid football fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Oregon Ducks. He loved visiting Lockhart for their famous barbecue.
He was a quiet man of faith with a frequent pilgrimage to the Basilica Shrine of Our Lady of San Juan del Valle to give thanks for his many life blessings and praying for others.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Olivia Aleman of 50 years; brothers Esequiel, Joe, Fermin, Thomas, Milton and sister Simona Aleman Dehoyoz.
He is survived by a brother, Cipriano Aleman (wife Minnie Aleman). His five sons Manuel, Rueben, Danny (wife Julie Aleman), David, Michael and one daughter, Celia Gutierrez (husband Ray Gutierrez). He is survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank his doctors, Dr Yasser Nasser, Dr. Susan Dubois, Dr. Richard Helmer (Texas Oncology), Heart Hospital staff, WellMed, and the Seton Main Hospital nursing staff for his care.
Pallbearers: Manuel, Rueben, Danny, David, Michael, Jesse and Anthony Aleman.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m., with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., on Monday, January 24, 2022 at Austin Peel and Son Funeral Home, 607 E. Anderson Ln., Austin, Texas, 78752. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, on Tuesday, January 25, 2022. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
