Obituary of Gloria Morales

Our beloved Gloria Morales Colmenero was called home, on Monday, January 17, 2022. 

She is awaited in Heaven by her parents, Eduardo Colmenero and Conrada Trevino Colmenero; her siblings Basilia Ortiz, Augustina Colmenero , and Juan Colmenero.  

Gloria has left behind her loving husband, of 32 beautiful years, Hermilo Morales; her precious fur baby King; her adoring daughters, Monica Rodriguez and her husband Efrian Jaimes, Miriam Sotelo and her husband Pedro Sotelo, and Prisma Morales and her husband Juan Mendieta; grandchildren, Marcus Trejo wife Leslie Porcayo, Michelle Mojica, Isreal Sotelo, Juan Mendieta Jr., and Ilyanna Mendieta; great grandchildren, Melanie, Amalia, Marianna, and a new little boy on the way; siblings, Mary Yguado, Christopher Colmenero, and Eduardo Colmenero; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and other family and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the care team at St.David’s for the hospitality and consideration that was giving to Mrs.Gloria.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 19, 2021 at Austin Peel and Son Funeral Home, 607 E. Anderson Ln., Austin, Texas, 78752. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., also at Austin Peel and Son Funeral Home, on Thursday, January 20, 2021.

Due to the Coronavirus/COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

We politely request the continued use of face coverings in an effort to

help protect our community.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services.
