Margaret Ruth Newberry Poulter

August 14, 1937- January 1, 2022

Mom was a loving mother, wife and Nanny. She loved her family and enjoyed every minute of their visits. Margie was a nurse at Brackenridge, and Nursing Homes before retiring to take care of her kids. She was an avid bowler and loved going to conferences and trips with her TOPS buddies. She was a big supporter of the Boy Scouts of America. She helped with all the events that her husband and sons participated in. She also volunteered with Austin Travis County Rodeo and Austin Red Cross. Margie will be missed by her family and friends.

Margie is preceded in death by her parents, Francis Elizabeth and Ivan Robert Newberry; husband, Dean Anderson Poulter; son, Richard Lars Poulter; grandchildren, Parker Kay Poulter and Beckett Walter Mahoney.

She is survived by her children, Robert Wade Poulter, of Belmead; Dena Poulter Barger and her husband Brian, of Teague; daughter-in-law, Trish Lynn Poulter, of Teague; grandchildren, Nathan wade Poulter and wife Brittany, of Abilene, Stephanie Bliss Poulter Mahoney and husband Mike, of San Antonio; great grandchildren, Austin Poulter, Andrew Dean Poulter, Anson Poulter, Nolan Poulter, Collin Mahoney, Ollie Mahoney, Everett Mahoney; and by her brother Jerry Wayne Newberry of Wassau Bay.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 11, 2021 at Austin Peel and Son Funeral Home, 607 E. Anderson Ln., Austin, Texas, 78752. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., also at Austin Peel and Son Funeral Home, on Wednesday, January 12, 2021. Interment will follow at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery.
