Obituary of Ygnacio G. Tijerina

Our beloved Ygnacio G. Tijerina, was called home to our Heavenly Father, on Wednesday, November 10, 2021.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, of 56 beautiful years, Emilia Tijerina; son, Arthur Rodriguez; parents, Matilde and Sara Gutierrez Tijerina; and his siblings, Willie Tijerina Sr., Pedro Tijerina Sr., Angela Minjarez, Bentura Rocha, Maria Tijerina, and Beatrice Esparza.

Ygnacio is survived by his children, Ramon Rodriguez and his wife Petra, Diane Castillo and her fiancé Robert Reyes, Julie Vicent and her husband Francisco, and Rita Gonzales and her husband Faustino; as well as numerous loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Austin Peel and Son Funeral Home at 607 E. Anderson Ln. Austin, Texas 78752. Interment will follow at Guadalupe Cemetery in Mendoza Texas.

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask

and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services.
