Obituary of Julian Vega

Our beloved Julian Vega, was called home to our Heavenly Father, on Saturday, October 16, 2021.

He is preceded by his parents, Amado Vega, Anita Garcia and Gabriel Gonzales Sr., grandparents, Frances Garcia and Angelo Espinoza; and by his brother Juan Vega; and his sister Elidia Garcia.

Julian is survived by his wife, Mary Vega; children, Mark L. Pena and his wife Erica, Lucero Cortez; grandchildren, Daniel Cortez, and Layla Garcia; siblings, Annette Rodriguez and her husband David, Frances Ramirez and her husband Manuel, Barbara Gonzales, and Gabriel Gonzales; as well as numerous loving nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

Visitation will be held from 05:00-9:00 p.m. with prayer services beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 25, 2021 at Austin Peel and Son Funeral Home, 607 East Anderson Lane, Austin, Texas, 78752. Funeral services will also be held at Austin Peel and Son on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with interment following at Assumption Cemetery.

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask

and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services. 

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
