Obituary of Stanley Douglas Warner Jr.

Stanley Douglas Warner, Jr., 74, of Austin, Texas, passed on to his heavenly home August 15, 2021.

Stanley was born December 2, 1946 in Los Angles, California.  He attended Chaffey High School, graduating in 1965. He was a member of the U.S. Armed Forces, serving in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam war.  As a young man his dream was to be a minister, although health issues prevented an opportunity to serve as a minister in a professional capacity, he ministered to people and served God as a layman throughout his life, serving in various ministries and sharing the gospel message with others as often as he could. He was a naturally talented carpenter, using those skills to help others.  He was adventurous, traveling throughout the United States. The California desert being a beloved destination.  He was very creative, Origami and photography being two of his passions. He carried a notebook with him and would often make little origami sculptures while riding the bus, sharing them with people he met. He loved spending time with family and friends and never missed an opportunity to take lots of photos at family gatherings.  He was a kind-hearted, gentle and loving person.

He is proceeded in death by his fiancé Karen Burman, sister Joyce Lund and parents Stanley and Louise Warner.

He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, George and Arlene Warner; sister, Martha Asbill- Eason; sisters and brothers-in-law, Audrey and Pete Petrillo, Carol and Dan Dorn; and numerous nieces and nephews.
 

Visitation on Friday, August 20^th from 5 pm – 9pm at Austin-Peel & Son Funeral Home, 607 East Anderson Lane, Austin, TX, 512-419-7224.  A Celebration of Life service to be held at the same location on Saturday, August 21^st at 10:30 am.
