He preceded in death by his grandparents, Elias and Dionicia Mendez, his older brother, Robert Ybarra Jr. and his cousin, Michael Hernandez.

Daniel is survived by his parents, Robert and Mary Ybarra; daughter, Miranda Ybarra and son, Jacob Ybarra; brother and sister-in-law Moses and Angela Ybarra; brother and sister-in-law Peter and Julia Ybarra, the mother of his children, Amy Ybarra, his loving families in Las Vegas and California, numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.

The family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to all the nurses and doctors who cared for Daniel at St. David’s South Austin Medical Center.

A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 from 5:00pm - 9:00pm with a Prayer Service starting at 7:00pm at Austin Peel & Son Funeral Home, 607 East Anderson Lane, Austin, TX 78752. This will conclude services.

Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free;
I took His hand when I heard Him call;
I turned my back and left it all.
If my parting has left a void;
then fill it with remembered joy.
My life’s been full, I savored much;
good friends, good times,
a loved one’s touch.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss;
ah yes, these things, I too, will miss.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief;
don’t lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your hearts and share with me;
God wanted me now, He set me free.

“The song has ended, but the melody lingers on.” – Irving Berlin
