Obituary of Margarita Chavez

Our beloved Margarita Chavez, age 67, was called by our Heavenly Father on Sunday, February 28, 2021.

She was preceded in death by her loving mother, Maria Roque Chavez.

She is survived by her loving children Arturo Rios (Rosie), Tony Rios (Hermelinda), Jessica Rios (Rudy Ruiz), and Michael Rios (Sonia); grandchildren, Melissa Segura, John David Maldonado, Gabriel A. Rios, Richard Maldonado, Marissa A. Rios, Marinna A. Rios, Isaiah M. Rios, and Marquel A. Rios; great grandchildren, Isaiah Sanchez, Isabella M. Rios, Ava Segura, and Manuel Eli Barrera; father, Juan Luna Chavez;and siblings, Juan Jose Chavez (Esperanza), Carmen Bera (Jose), David Chavez (Rosa), Eleasar Chavez (Gloria), Javier Chavez (Janie), Guadalupe Cancino (Chris), Omar Chavez (Diana), and Esmeralda Reyes (Orlando). Margarita is also survived by numerous other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with Recitation of the Holy Rosary to be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at Austin Peel and Son Funeral Home, located at 607 E. Anderson Lane, Austin, TX 78752. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 12, 2021 at San Jose Catholic Church, located at 2435 Oak Crest Ave, Austin, TX 78704. Interment will follow at Onion Creek Memorial Park Cemetery.
