Linda Ann McKinney, born in Eagle Pass, TX, February 15, 1952, went home to be with our Lord on October 31st, 2020 at the age of 68. She was preceded in death by Russell Joseph McKinney. She is survived by her parents Lupe and Luis Tapia, her son and daughter in law Kenneth McKinney and Sharon McKinney, Grandchildren: Melissa, Kelley and Russell McKinney. Sisters: Judy Falcon, Elizabeth Travioli, and Bridget Tubbs, and their spouses. Nephews and nieces: James Falcon, Misty Hagood, Jennifer Duran, Joseph Travioli, Sean & Luke Bonilla, Great Nieces: Caylin Falcon and Presley DeForest and Great Nephew: Jacob Duran.

Linda was always a free spirit, unique, an artistic individual. She loved her family and the Lord. Everything she did in life, she did it with passion whether it was cooking, painting with her fingers instead of brushes, dancing, and loving her family. She fought for what she believed in, she wasn’t a go with the flow kind of person, she voiced her opinion. The only left-handed one in the family. The oldest sibling, being protective over her younger sisters. She worked hard, not for materialistic things but to provide, she could stretch a dollar. She was an early riser, often joining her father in his morning walk. She loved fresh flowers on her kitchen table. She could dance, she had soul and loved the beach, even sneaking out as a teenager to the beach. She absolutely adored her grandchildren and moved to Austin to be closer to them and her son. Linda always had a way with the children, she loved being around them because of their innocence, they were so honest they’d make her laugh, eventually Leading her into childcare for the majority of her life. She was loved by all of us and she loved us all unconditionally. She’s in heaven, dancing on a beach…She always said, “not to cry when she passed, but open a bottle of champagne and rejoice!” You will be missed but you will never be forgotten.
