Kathy and I send our condolences and prayers to the family and regret we could not be with everyone for the funeral. We were there in spirit as we viewed the funeral and heard the many tributes to Ben. Looking at the memorial video brought back so many wonderful memories of Ben's love for his family, animals, and his sense of humor.
Love,
Kathy and John Steinbauer

Uncle Ben has been a brother to my dad for 30 years, he brought so much joy and laughter to this world. One of my earliest memories of him was when him and my father would carpool to their work, Austin Energy, dropping me off at preschool and I would ask “what does that sign say?”, Uncle Ben would reply, “It doesn't say anything, you have to read it.” Through every birthday party, every movie, star gazing, and carpool, he was the most amazing best friend to my dad. I will always remember that he gave me the coolest barbies for my birthdays when I had parties at Chuck-E-cheeses, that I still have to this day. The Sweat family has always felt like home. Uncle Ben will be missed, may he Rest In Peace❤️

Sarah was my childhood best friend and neighbor growing up and I'll never forget how her parents Ben and Glenda so effortlessly made me feel part of the family. They were the neighbors everyone wishes they had and they are loved ❤
