Obituary of Manuel R. Lizcano

Our beloved Manuel R. Lizcano, age 87, passed away on July 20, 2020.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Timotea Lizcano; and siblings, Maria de Carmen L. Galvan (Gregorio Galvan Sr.) Galvan, and Socorro L. Valerio; and brother in law, Juan Delacruz, and Luis Gonzales, Sr.

He is survived by his loving siblings, Maria Luisa L. Delacruz, Jose Guadalupe Lizcano (Herminia Tapia), Rosa Elena L. Gonzales, and Juan Antonio Lizcano (Gloria Ann); and brother in law, Meliton Valerio. Manuel is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 27, 2020 at Austin Peel and Son Funeral Home, located at 607 E. Anderson Lane, Austin, Texas 78752. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, located at 1206 E 9th St, Austin, TX 78702. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be, Joe Delacruz, Jesus Galvan, Larry Gonzales, Arturo Lizcano, Juan Antonio Lizcano, Jr., and Victor Vallero.

The family would also like to give special thanks to their family that meant so much to Manuel; and also to Manuel’s sister who has already preceded him in death, Maria G. Galvan, for all of the love, time, and dedication she gave to Manuel and to her family. She is greatly missed.
