Obituary of Bertha Alba Terbay
Our beloved Bertha Alba Terbay, age 81, was called to our Heavenly Father on Saturday, July 18, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul D. Alba, Sr. and Ramona Alba and her husband, Edward T. Terbay, Jr.
Bertha is survived by her companion of 30 years, Benjamin Angeles; her children, Sylvia Terbay Zamora and her husband, Aaron and Sandra Terbay Medrano and her husband, Hector Medrano; her brothers and sisters, Mary A. Rodriguez, Paul C. Alba and his wife, Tweena, Susan A. Howard and her husband, Ken, Joe Alba and his wife, Yolanda, Hortensia A. Miller, and Janie A. Lehman and her husband, Wayne Lehman; her grandchildren, Aaron e. Zamora and his wife, Lyliana, Richard T. Zamora, Roman F. Zamora, Ciara D. Medrano, Michael E. Medrano; her first great granddaughter, Ariya Emi Zamora, who is on the way, and numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.
Lie in State will be held from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at Austin-Peel and Son Funeral Home, 607 E. Anderson Ln., Austin, Texas. Friends are welcome to come by as they would like to pay their respects. Private Visitation will be held from 4:00-9:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. also on Thursday, July 23, 2020, at Austin-Peel and Son Funeral Home. Rosary will be live streamed so those not in attendance may participate. We will use Facebook Live,
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 24, 2020 at Sta. Julia Catholic Church, corner of Lyon and Tillery St., Austin, Texas. Interment will follow at CW Capital Parks Cemetery, 14501 North, N Interstate Hwy 35, Pflugerville, Texas.
Due to the Coronavirus / COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,
capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.
Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask
and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more. If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,
it is recommended that you not attend services.
The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support
during this very difficult time.
