Obituary of Louisa Godinez

Our beloved Louisa Godinez, age 70, was called by our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, May 13, 2020.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pedro Rodriguez and Martina Hernandez.

She is survived by her husband of more than 50 years, Manuel Godinez; children, Julia Perez (Ernest), Manuel Godinez, Jr., and Richard Godinez (Heather); grandchildren, Richard Rodela, Jr., Anthony Rodela, Elaine Rodela, Manuel Rodela, Samuel Isaac Godinez, Gabriella Inez Godinez, Christopher Godinez, and Danielle Godinez; and numerous great grandchildren. Louisa is also survived by numerous other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 8:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. with a Private Family Scripture Service (By Invitation Only) beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at Austin Peel and Son Funeral Home, located at 607 E. Anderson Lane, Austin, TX 78752.  Interment will follow at Cook Walden Capital Parks Cemetery.

During your viewing, we ask that you observe the Social Distancing Recommendations by avoiding hand shaking or hugging, and by keeping a minimum 6-foot distance from others.

Please be advised that ALL guests must wear some form of face covering upon entry to the funeral home. In addition, guests are NOT permitted to congregate in the parking lot at any time.
