Obituary of Mary Lou Torres Zamora

Our beloved Mary Lou Torres Zamora, age 57, was called by our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, May 13, 2020.

She was preceded in death by her father, Encarnacion Torres and brother, David Torres.

She is survived by her husband of 16 years, Hugo Soto; children, Jose Torres, Martin Zamora, Emeterio Torres, Maria Zamora (Jose Torres), Juan Zamora, and Fernando Zamora (Jessica); grandchildren, Michael, Jose, Alissa, Aiden, Maribel, Martin, Jr., Carlos, Catalina, Robin, Stephanie, Adrian, Emily, Lia, Kaitlynn, Aryanna, Isaak, and baby Boy Zamora; brother, Arthur Torres; and aunt and uncle, Mary Jane and Lalo Adams. Mary Lou is also survived by numerous other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 17, 2020 at Austin Peel and Son Funeral Home, located at 607 E. Anderson Lane, Austin, TX 78752. A Scripture Service will be held at 11:00 a.m.on Monday, May 18, 2020 at Austin Peel and Son Funeral Home, located at 607 E. Anderson Lane, Austin, TX 78752.

This will conclude services.

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

Visitation, Rosary, and Scripture Service are limited to 30 people in capacity.

During your viewing, we ask that you observe the Social Distancing Recommendations by avoiding hand shaking or hugging, and by keeping a minimum 6-foot distance from others.

Please be advised that ALL guests must wear some form of face covering upon entry to the funeral home. In addition, guests are NOT permitted to congregate in the parking lot at any time.
