Obituary of Geronimo Cantu Garza

Our beloved Geronimo Cantu Garza, age 84, was called by our Heavenly Father on Thursday, May 7, 2020.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 43 years, Martha Garza; parents, Pedro and Barbarita Garza; and siblings, Martin Garza, Rudy Garza, Melton Garza, Consuelo Garza Patina, and Juanita Cadena.    

He is survived by his loving children, Naomi McFarlin (Kevin), Geronimo Garza, Jr. (Judy), Maria Soto (Rudy), Alex Garza, and Sally Garza (Robert); grandchildren, Hazel, Kevin, Jr., Amber, Aleisa, Anthony, Antoinette, Abraham, Alexa, Alexandria, Clarissa, Zay, Ariana, Selena, Lyndsey, Lillian, Noah, Nathan, Lylah, Larissa, Paul, and Jasiah; great grandchildren, Zayvion, Zamari, Zamir, Zamiyah, Kevin III, Kaiden, Alani, Alayna, Karter, Avinna, Joseph, Ava, Eli, and Eliana.  Geronimo is also survived by numerous other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at Austin Peel and Son Funeral Home, located at 607 E. Anderson Lane, Austin, TX 78752. Interment will follow at Austin Memorial Park.

During your viewing, we ask that you observe the Social Distancing Recommendations by avoiding hand shaking or hugging, and by keeping a minimum 6-foot distance from others.

Please be advised that ALL guests must wear some form of face covering upon entry to the funeral home. In addition, guests are NOT permitted to congregate in the parking lot at any time.
