Obituary of Donald L. Meece

Donald L. Meece was born June 29, 1942 in Rush City, MN and died April 17, 2020 in Bastrop, TX at the 77 years of age.  He graduated High School in Ogilvie, MN in 1960.  He graduated from North Central Bible College in 1964.

Don served in the US Air Force and continued his education studying at Oklahoma State University, University of Hawaii at Honolulu, and Northern Oklahoma College,

After retiring from the US Postal Service, Don began working with Global University as Associate Professor of Business and Education.  At 70 years of age he became President, Founder, and Professor at Hawaii Christian College.  He and his wife later moved back to Springfield, MO.

Don is survived by his children, David, Michael, Irene, Colleen, step daughters Angie and Laura and their families which include numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He is also survived by his siblings, Lillian, James, Peter and Merle.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 29 years, Nancy who died March 16, 2020, his parents, Wayne and Irma Meece, his brothers Franklin and Alan.

Due to the restrictions of the National Emergency, no memorial is planned at this time.  He will be interred at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, TX.
