I first met Lillie at the Pirates' Den when I moved to Austin in the late sixties. We shared a love for old bottles and fruit jars. Many of my cherished antiques were purchased from Lillie. These collectibles will always be a reminder of Lillie's friendliness and kind spirit.

Growing up in Austin on Richcreek Rd it was a very close neighborhood and everyone knew each other and if you were bad, the news made it home quickly. Ms. Williams (Lillie Mae) was a vibrant and colorful neighbor who was loved by all. As a kid, we couldn't wait to see just how many lights she would put up for Christmas. So many great memories and so thankful that Lillie Mae is a part of them. All my love to the family during this time of loss.

So very sad for your loss. We loved Lillie Mae and will always hold her close in our hearts. An amazing woman, who loved like no other and who loved us since we were little kids. Will miss her positive spirit and zest for life. Lillie Mae had a huge influence in my life and was an amazing female role model for me! She will be missed dearly. Big hugs from our family.

Lillie Mae was my babysitter from infancy to school age. My favorite memory was how incredible my hearing was when the ice cream truck was within a mile of her house. I would grab a rag and dust her "collectibles" until the truck was on Richcreek. Then I'd hold my hand out for Lillie Mae to give me a dime and then I'd haul bananas out to get in line for a snow cone. What a treat!!!
Lillie Mae is the sole reason I will only eat Premium Saltine crackers to this day. I have so many memories of spending my day with her and waiting for James to come home from work. What lovely people, I feel blessed to have known them and cherish the time we spent together. All my love, Betty Jo

Lillie Mae was a charter member of the Austin Doll Collectors' Society back in 1975, and a lovely person to know. After she left the club, I saw her regularly at city wide garage sales and the antique mall. I know her family and friends will all miss her! Elaine Jackson

Lillie Mae was like a second mother to me. Always full of sunshine, smiling and a solution for every problem. She was my babysitter for years and the person I have, for 60 years, attributed to my addiction to saltine crackers with butter and on certain occasions - with cream cheese. I can honestly say Lille Mae never once made me feel anything but loved and cared for. The last time I saw her was in 2015. I had moved back into my childhood home on Grover temporarily. I saw her in her front yard and I grabbed my son and said "You have to meet my babysitter!". And she started talking with him like she'd known him her whole life.
It is safe to say that there will never, ever be another Lillie Mae on this earth. I honestly didn't know how rich I was at the time to have her as a part of my life. This truly is the end of an era for me & my brothers. I think she took a bit of me with her; but then she left a handprint on my heart. Thank you Lillie Mae, I love you.

I’m not sure what year this photo was taken, but two of my favorite women were in it with me Lillie Mae and Louise. Lillie Mae you were loved by so many of us and your passing will leave a huge hole in many of our hearts. Lillie Mae you were so more than a friend and I’m so glad I had you in my life for so many years. Rest In Peace. Kristie Jeske, Horseshoe Bay, Texas
