Obituary of Richard Cantu

Our beloved Richard Cantu, age 62, of Austin, Texas was called by our Heavenly Father on Sunday, December 15, 2019.

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Elida Cantu; children, Richard Cantu, Jr.,Vanessa Cantu (David Lapan), and Isaiah Cantu; grandchildren, Alyssa Cantu, Kyleena Cantu, Natalie Cantu, Ava Cantu, Alexander McLaughlin, Kierstyn Lapan, Madison Lapan; Richard is also survived by his parents, Doroteo and Micaela Cantu; siblings, Dorothy Cantu, Dina Cantu, San Juanita Cantu, Dawn Cantu, and many other loving family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be David, Matthew, Raymond, Jacob, Hector, Moses, Jesse, and Alex.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 22, 2019 at Austin Peel and Son Funeral Home, located at 607 E. Anderson Lane, Austin, TX 78752. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 23, 2019 at Austin Peel and Son Funeral Home, located at 607 E. Anderson Lane, Austin, Texas 78752. Interment will follow at Cook Walden Memorial Hill Cemetery.
