Obituary of Sverrir Hjaltason

Our beloved Sverrir Hjaltason, age 62, of Austin, Texas was called by our Heavenly Father on Saturday, August 10, 2019.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hjalti Eyjolfsson and Halldora Sigurbjornsdottir.

He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Varuni Hjaltason; children, Kristjana Charmaine Sverrisdottir and Konrad Vikingur Sverrisson; siblings, Eyjolfur Hjaltason, Stefan Hjaltason, Bryndis Hjaltadottir Hajo, and Jonina Gudlaug Hjaltadottir. Sverrir is also survived by numerous other loving family and friends.

The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Kasper (Texas Oncology), Dr. David Joseph (ADC), Dr. Paolo Venegoni, Dr. Matthew Anderson (NAMC), and Christopher House Austin for their care of Mr. Hjaltason. Sincere thanks to family and friends for endless love and support.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 18, 2019, at Episcopal Church of the Resurrection, located at 2200 Justin Ln, Austin, TX 78757. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 19, 2019, also at Episcopal Church of the Resurrection, located at 2200 Justin Ln, Austin, TX 78757.

This will conclude services.
