Robert Warren Pettinos, 72, of Austin, Texas, succumbed to cancer in the comfort of his own home surrounded by his family on October 6, 2018. Warren was born December 1, 1945 and was a lifelong Texan. He graduated from Lee High School in San Antonio, attended Southwest Texas State University, and served in the military as a Marine. He was a resident of West Lake Hills for 47 years and a charter member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church. Warren loved the road and meeting and befriending people along the way. He enjoyed the outdoors, traveling, spending time with close friends and family, and had a passion for collecting antiques and artifacts. He worked in the flooring industry as a salesman for 50 years, but was forced to finally give up the career he loved due to his health. Warren was always there to help out a family member or friend. He was known for his remarkable ability to tell a good story and his unwavering loyalty towards those he loved. Warren was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and friend to everyone. Warren was preceded in death by his mother Sue Pettinos and eldest son Benjamin Pettinos. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Dianne Pettinos, son Jordan (Christel) Pettinos, daughter Abby Pettinos, father James Pettinos and wife Barbara, sister Kay (John) Chance, brother Matt (Cathy) Pettinos, and loving grandchildren Jackson, Townsend, Drew, Walker, Lane, Henry, Buck and Deacon, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 15, 2018, at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 5455 Bee Cave Road, with Father Bud officiating.
