IN LOVING MEMORY OF Carmen Hernandez July 31, 1955- August 2, 2018 Carmen Hernandez was born on July 31, 1955 in the city of Austin, Texas. At the age of 63, Carmen passed away to be with the Lord on August 2, 2018. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe Chino and Cresencia Hernandez, her brother, Vicente Hernandez, and her beloved son, Chino Lalo Rangel. To cherish her memories, she leaves behind her five sisters: Helen, JoAnn, Isabel, Josefine, and Angie. She is additionally survived by her three children: Celestina Castillo (Frank), Richard Rangel (Stephanie), and Juan Godinez; and her twelve grandchildren. Carmen worked in the Austin ISD Nutrition & Food Service department for 20 years. Her favorite hobbies included cooking, baking, and playing Bingo with her sisters. She also enjoyed shopping and hosting family events. Carmen will forever be known for her contagious smile, never-ending laugh, giving heart, and persistent phone calls. She will be missed by all who knew her and will forever live in our hearts. Please join us for a memorial service for our beloved Mother. The viewing will be on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 7 pm. The final memory service will be on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at 10 am.
