Travis Leslie Carter went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 24, 2018. Celebration of Life, Thursday June 28, 2018, Visitation 1PM, Service 2PM, Austin-Peel Funeral Home, 607 E Anderson Ln, Austin, Tx. Travis was born in Turnersville TX, December 21, 1928, the youngest of nine children, to John Means and Edna Jane Standefer Carter. In his 89 1/2 years. Travis waltzed across Texas living and working in almost every part of the state, a Jack-of-all trades, Top Salesman and Carpenter. He was a hard worker and a man of his word. Travis was a Marine, he served in post WWII China. Travis is survived by his Wife of 36 1/2 years Barbara, daughter Deborah Jane Williamson and husband Willis David; Grandchildren Falon Nelson, Kimberly Phelps and David Williamson; Great Grandchildren Harlee and Jake Mullens, Presley Nelson, Matthew Phelps, Elyse and Rebecca Williamson, special loving niece Candy Thomas and her family, and a host of other family and amazing friends. Preceding him were his parents, son Thomas Leslie Carter, Sisters: Anna Laura (Lottie) Turner, Susie Moore, Cordie Wright: Brothers: JW, Henry, Davis, Alvis, and William Price Carter and their spouses.
